We feel very decadent pulling up outside of Nick's Seafood at Cockle Bay and having the seafood platter delivered directly to the table on the boat! Rain or shine, being on the boat is an experience someone living in Sydney should definitely take advantage of. The Cruising Club is a very

  FAQ's

  What is The Cruising Club?
The Cruising Club offers Shared Boat Ownership and hassle free walk-on, walk-off boating at numerous New South Wales and Queensland locations, within a network that is continually expanding.

How much will The Cruising Club cost me?
Ultimately, the costs associated with The Cruising Club are dependant on two key factors:
  1. the number of shares purchased in each boat
2. the size and quality of the boat

A number of owners have purchased single shares in The Cruising Club for as little as $12,890. For a list of boats and prices please view boats page.

  What boats are available?
The Cruising Club has established world-class partnerships with boat manufacturers including Mustang Marine, SeaQuest Marine, Sunrunner, Cruiser Yachts, Bavaria Yachts and Nimbus. Owners are able to choose a boat that best suits their individual needs. A full selection of boats available can be viewed on the locations page.

How often can I use the boat?
Owners will be entitled to 21 / 24 guaranteed days usage per year per share held. For example, should only one share be purchased, the owner would be entitled to a minimum of 21 / 24 days per year. Standby days are any day that is not booked by a shareholder or maintenance. Standby days can be booked with a maximum of 7 days notice.

How many owners are there in each boat?
Typically, boats offered by The Cruising Club consist of 12 equal shares. Built around flexibility, The Cruising Club allows owners to purchase one or multiple shares, depending on their own usage requirements.

  Where are the boats moored?
Boats are moored at several locations in New South Wales, Queensland with new sites being constantly added to the list. Please refer to the locations page for details.

How do you know the other owners will look after the boat the way I would?
All owners are carefully selected through a thorough application process and trained by The Cruising Club in the proper use and care of the boat. Our Boat Managers undertake regular checks and inventories of our boats to ensure the boat is in full working condition.

Will I receive training on how to use the boat?
A compulsory training program must be undertaken by all boat owners, regardless of their previous experience. All training costs are met by The Cruising Club and incorporate world-class training in the areas of boat handling, navigation and local area laws.

Apart from the share price, are there other costs linked to The Cruising Club?
In addition to the share price, owners will be required to pay an insurance bond and a management fee (dependant on size of boat and location) which covers such items as insurance, marina rental, regular maintenance inspection and servicing, antifouling and polishing, daily cleaning, booking management, equipment replacements, registrations, contingency fund and boat management fees.

How do I find out more?
The Cruising Club has a network of offices and representatives around the country.
