We joined the Cruising Club in March, 2007 - purchasing a share in the 3200 Mustang. We live in Pyrmont and with the boat being moored at Birkenhead Point; it is very convenient for us. We love the feeling we get whilst cruising Sydney Harbour. We feel very decadent pulling up outside of Nick's Seafood at Cockle Bay and having the seafood platter delivered directly to the table on the boat! Rain or shine, being on the boat is an experience someone living in Sydney should definitely take advantage of. The Cruising Club is a very

| Boats burning on Pittwater |

Five large motor cruisers were ablaze this afternoon on Sydney's Pittwater.
A boat caught fire at Newport Anchorage Marina on Beaconsfield Road, Newport, at 2.30pm and that blaze spread to two boats in the next marina pens. Two of the burning craft were dragged to nearby sand flats at Bayview and extinguished, NSW Fire Brigades spokesman Norm Buckley said the boats were dragged out into open water to prevent further damage. 'We pushed those crafts that were actually on fire out into the water so they don't pose any danger to the actual wharf itself or any part of the structures or indeed any of the other boats,' he said.
However things did not to plan, the large crowds lining the foreshores watched as the third boat pushed by a strong westerly wind, drifted into the Sirsii Marina, on Crescent Road, where two more boats caught fire.
